COMPREHEND will adopt a comprehensive, data-driven approach to evaluating infectious disease dynamics, disease burden and the health-economic impact of public health interventions across European member states. By systematically integrating country-specific epidemiological, clinical, and health-economic data, the project delivers scientifically robust health technology and impact assessments to inform policymakers.

A core aspect of the approach is the development of advanced epidemiological and decision-analytical models. These models assess the effects of public health interventions, considering factors such as disease burden reduction, economic efficiency, and long-term health outcomes. Scenario analyses further guides evidence-based policymaking by identifying optimal intervention strategies tailored to different population groups, including infants, high-risk individuals, and the elderly.
